SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall was awarded federal aid funding through ITD to construct a detached multiuse pathway
on McCall Donnelly School District Property. The project is through the Safe Routes to School program
which provides funding for infrastructure improvements such as pedestrian and bicycle pathways near
schools.
The invitation to bid for the project was advertised June 18 and June 25, 2009 in the Star News. Bid
opening was July 2, 2009. ITD requires the City of McCall to review bids and then submit them to ITD for
review and approval. They were submitted to ITD on July 2, 2009.
A complete list of bids received and a recommendation for award of the contract will be made by staff at the
July 9, 2009 Council meeting. This information will also include the results of the review by ITD. The
attached contract for the project has been submitted to the City Attorney for review.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Award McCall Samson Trail Safe Routes to School project contract to the contractor recommended by
staff and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
