A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE ENVIRONMENTAL
INFORMATION DOCUMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin has proposed to make improvements to the City's
wastewater conveyance and treatment system; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin has applied for project funding through the State Clean
Water Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan program jointly administered by the Iowa
Finance Authority and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources; and
WHEREAS, the CWSRF loan program requires a Public Hearing to make available to
the public the contents of an environmental information document and the City's Facility Plan
pertaining to the project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin has held said Public Hearing,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa,
to authorize the Mayor to sign the Environmental Information Document (EID) and
submit to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
On the 17th day of May, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2016-030, A
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE ENVIRONMENTAL
INFORMATION DOCUMENT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by
Councilperson Upton.
AYES: Upton, Havens, Ryan, Kahler.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Bartels
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor
Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2016-030, A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION
DOCUMENT to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his
signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 17th day of May, 2016.
