SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is requesting permission to hang a highway banner to advertise for
their Bike MS: Road, Sweat and Gears Ride fund raising event. The event will be held August 22 & 23,
2009. They have requested the banner be hung from August 10 - 17, 2009.
McCall City Code reads:
3.9.04: TEMPORARY SIGNS: The following signs shall be permitted anywhere within the planning
jurisdiction and shall not require a permit:
(D) Street Banner Signs: Street banner signs advertising a public entertainment or event, if, after the
submittal and approval by the council of an application, and only for locations designated by the
administrator, during and for fourteen (14) days before and seven (7) days after the event.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve request to hang Highway Banner for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society event Bike MS:
Road, Sweat and Gears Ride.
