Approvals: Department/ Committee/Individual Initials Remarks (Originator/ Support) Mayor / Council City Manager Airport ._ City Clerk, Deputy Clerk Community Development Grant Coordinator Golf Operations Library Parks COST IMPACT: $36,045 Police Department Public Works FUNDING SOURCE: FAA AIP, Local Match, State Match Recreation Treasurer TIMELINE: June 2009 City Attorney Other SUMMARY STATEMENT: Senator Crapo's Office has notified us that FAA will be issuing us a Phase II Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) grant in the amount of $36,045. FAA has previously granted McCall Municipal Airport a grant in the amount of $148,693 (AIP 15) for the purchase of snow removal equipment, Phase I. This left a balance needed from FAA of $36,045. The total project costs are broken down to be Equipment $170,587, Professional Services $23,875 for a total of $194,462. 95% or $184,738 is eligible under AIP. We have previously received AIP 15 in the amount of $148,693. This leaves $36,045 for the Phase II grant. The prime mover (tractor) has been received, a reimbursement from FAA requested, and a payment to the vendor has been requested. We should receive the remainder of the equipment, snow broom, snow plow blade, and snow thrower attachment in early June. When they are received, and the Phase II grant is offered and accepted, we will draw down the entirety of both grants. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Accept the grant offer and authorize the Mayor and City Attorney to sign all documents upon the receipt of the grant offer. RECORD OF COUNCIL ACTION Meeting Date ACTION
