SUMMARY STATEMENT:
City Council has asked for a report on the options for codification of City Ordinances. Currently the City
uses Sterling Codifiers to codify City Ordinances. The purpose of the report is to look at whether the fees
Sterling charges is competitive with other Codifiers, as well as looking at the possibility of staff codifying the
City Code in house.
Attached are a staff memo and three options for outside codification service.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
To continue with Sterling Codifiers until which time City staff can accommodate the additional project
of maintaining the City Code in house.
