RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION OF WILLOW RIDGE
DEVELOPMENT LLC. FOR FUNDING VIA THE WORKFORCE HOUSING TAX
CREDIT PROGRAM AND PLEDGING CITY MONIES FOR THE SAME
Whereas, Willow Ridge Development LLC. has heretofore made application to the Iowa
Economic Development Authority for funding for a housing project via the Workforce
Housing Tax Credit Program; and
Whereas, as part of the application process, the City Council is required to provide a
resolution of support for the application; and
Whereas, the City will also provide monetary or in-kind support for this Project if the
application is approved.
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa, that the City of Tiffin
fully supports the application of Willow Ridge Development LLC. to obtain funding via
the Workforce Housing Tax Program.
Be it further resolved, that the City Council will make a contribution to the Project in
the amount of $1000 per unit not to exceed 23 units if said application is approved by
the IEDA.
On the 3rd day of May, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Havens introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2016-029, A RESOLUTION OF
SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION OF WILLOW RIDGE DEVELOPMENT LLC. FOR
FUNDING VIA THE WORKFORCE HOUSING TAX CREDIT PROGRAM AND
PLEDGING CITY MONIES FOR THE SAME and made a motion for approval. Motion
seconded by Councilperson Upton.
Ayes: Bartels, Havens, Kahler, Upton.
Nays: None
Absent: Ryan.
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2016-029, A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF THE
APPLICATION OF WILLOW RIDGE DEVELOPMENT LLC. FOR FUNDING VIA THE
WORKFORCE HOUSING TAX CREDIT PROGRAM AND PLEDGING CITY MONIES
FOR THE SAME to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his
signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 3rd day of May, 2016.
