GWYNN Assistant Town ManaBar-Town Clark MINUTES BARBARA GWYNN Chief of Police JAMES GREER May 6, 1987 The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by William A. Mayer, Chairman, presiding. 1. Roll Call Present: Charles E. Eaton, Vice - Chairman Thomas Brandt William Lynch Mrs. Joan Orthwein Also Present: Barbara Gwynn, Town Clerk John Gosman, Architect for Mr. and Mrs. W. Farish Kres Mihelich, Architect for Dr. Astler Richard Brandt, Code Enforcement Officer James W. Briggs, Gen. Mgr., Gulf Stream Golf Club 2. Upon motion duly made and seconded the Minutes of the April 1, 1987 meeting were approved. 3. Site Plan Review Request of Dr. Vernon Astler to build a single family residence on Lot #4, Gulf Stream Heights. There being no objection and all requirements of the Town having been met including acceptable landscaping, on motion duly made and seconded said request was approved. 4. Site Plan Review Request of Glenside Builders to build a boat dock, Lot #1, Drift- wood Landing, Merritt Sub - division. On motion duly made and seconded the Board approved the building of said boat dock according to the plan submitted to the Board, this date. Planning & Zoning Board Minutes May 6, 1987 Page Two i a) Request by John Gosman, architect for Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Farish, owners of Lot #2, Wm. H. Evans sub - division, to make changes in previously approved plans in order to save century -old trees. The request necessitates driveway and garage door location R On motion duly made and seconded, the Board approved the re- location of the entrance to the garage. b) Request by Gulf Stream Golf Club for renovation and addition to the residence of the Golf Professional and the erection of a Maintenance building. 1. Site plan for renovation to the residence noted above was approved on motion duly made and seconded. 2.' The plans for replacement of existing Maintenance building as submitted do not have the required County stamp. The Board approved the plans on motion duly made and seconded subject to County approval and without site change. 5. Mr. Brandt brought to the attention of the Board an inquiry by a member of the Board of Directors of the Place au- Soleil Home Owners Association regarding the F.I.N.D. property i.e. leases, developer's plans, access to the property etc. i Discussion ensued on the Town of Gulf Stream opportunity to lease the north side of this property. It was noted that whomever leases the south side of said property must meet the Town of Gulf Stream codes and must have Town permission to build. The Town is actively pursuing its interests in this property.
