Site Plan Review Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Johnson, Lot 18, Plat of Polo Cove, 531 Palm Way. A request to construct a swimming pool, rear property line. 4. Site Plan Review and Variance Request Lots 15 and 16, Palm Beach Shores Acres. A' request to reduce the north sideyard setback from the required 25' to 10', per section IX —I1 of the Gulf Stream Building Codes. This request is being made by the Gulf Stream Bath and Tennis Club in order to add a snack bar to their existing clubhouse. 5. Board member comments. 6. Comments from the public. 7. Adjournment. GWYNN Asslsfanl Town Manager Town Clark BARBARA GWYNN J June 3, 1987 LOlel of Police JAMES GREER The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Vice- Chairrran Charles E. Eaton, presiding. 1. Roll Call Present: Charles E. Eaton, Vice - Chairman Thomas Brandt William Lynch Also present: Barbara Gwymi, Town Clerk Richard Brandt, Code Enforcement Officer Herbert Pecht, Jr., Architect for the Bath & Tennis Club Swann Brown, Landscape Architect for Mr. & Mrs. T. Johnson Absent: William Mayer, Chairman (Mrs.) Joan Orthwein 2. Minutes On motion duly made and seconded the Minutes of the May 6, 1987 meeting were approved. 3. Site Plan Review Request by Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Johnson, Lot 18, Plat of Polo Cove, 531 Palm Way to construct a swimming pool. After examination of plans and discussion with the landscape architect, the Board on motion duly made and seconded approved this request provided measures are taken to contain the pool equipment structure in order to absorb noise. 4. Site Plan Review and Variance Request Request by Gulf Stream Bath and Tennis Club to reduce the n/s yard setback to add a snack bar to existing clubhouse. Following presentation by the architect and no objection reqistered by Planning & Zoning Board Meeting Minutes June 3, 1987 Page Two (cont 'd) 4. the immediate neighbor the Board, on motion duly made and seconded, approved this request. 5. Board Member Comments Discussion ensued on the need for Town agencies to be aware of all major plans to construct, renovate or re- landscape properties and the requirement of permits for same. Also, that the Police Department make routine checks on construction sites to verify existence of permits. Mrs. Gwynn will speak to the Town Attorney regarding adoption of a Town ordinance covering tree removal and landscaping. The Town is concerned with protecting trees and green areas as well as with drainage, setbacks, etc. The Town is covered by County ordinances but may require Town ordinances to preserve the character of the neighborhood and the quality of the community. CAP 1 '; Rt. rL I NOTICE TO RESIDENTS TOWN OF GULF STREAM The following variance has been requested pursuant to Section IX -I.1. of the Gulf Stream Zoning Ordinance ( "O.R. Outdoor Recreational District) of the Gulf Stream Zoning Ordinances No. 83 -1 . To reduce the north side yard setback from the required 30' to 10' for the construction of a snack bar to be attached to the existing structure at Lots 15 and 16 Block D, Palm Beach Shores Acres This will go before the Planning and Zoning Board June 3, 1987 and The Town Commission, sitting as the Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing at 9 A.M.
