At 8:10 the :ayor called the _meting to order.
Members present:Anderson,Burman,Hankins, Jordan,Pal erson & 1idmaier.
The report of the Police Iagistrate •showed 17 case and 35.00 collected.
The clerks report of December was read.
A communication from the Town atty stated there 3 v=s no law allowing
the Town to assess the labor cost to the property•owner for cutting
weedt or for cleaning snow from u: .e siie{awalks. his Was for cities of
let & 2nd class.
A. letter from the Defense Corporation acknowledged the receip tOof
an order for a 38 Colt revolver.
The Tax Commi _sion acknowlegded the f ilin - of the budget. •
.S.Darley & Co.said they would send one extra pelt and holster
beside the one already sent when they had recived the size wanted.
Sore of tee pool hall asked that the card games be allowed if t sere
was no mo._:ey involved.The board stated that 'they would not change their
orders.

absent.
The minutes of the reg.lar meeting of Jan.4 were read and roved
as read.
A. letter from the Town Atty stated that Ordinance 80, Sec.l4 did
not give the Town the right to shut off the water of people living
outside the town limits until the proof was made that the towns need
was greater than those in the country.

a helper at the town.electionl
State Dept.of Revenue asked why there ws a mistake of .10 in
the returns of the withholding tax.The clerk had answered that It
was a mistake in typeing.
A letter f om the State Board of Engineering' Examiners stated that
Mr. Gle der who had been doing some work for the .gown .J2 not a re -4e ered
Engineer,and was not permitted to do surveying.
The State Planning Board had asked for a statement of the .'oan's
bonds.This had been sent by the Clerk.
The question of letting persons outside of the town limits tap the
water mains was discussed in length.Oliflord 3hn who lives west of town
wanted water at his Taace and caee before the board and asked if there
could not be a contract made which aould permit the town to tarn off
his eater if the town was in need of more water.
Patter moved, Jordan seconded:That the Clerk inquire of the Town Atty.
if a contract could be made whichwou.ld adequately protect the Town is
