RESOLUTION NO. 95 -3466
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE CALIFORNIA USED
OIL RECYCLING BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM TO FUND A
RESIDENTIAL CURBSIDE USED OIL COLLECTION PROGRAM AND
RELATED PUBLIC EDUCATION IN TEMPLE CITY
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Oil Recycling
Enhancement Act that provides funds to cities and counties for establishing and maintaining local used oil
collection programs that encourage recycling or appropriate disposal of used oil; and
WHEREAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Board has been delegated the
responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary procedures
governing application by cities and counties under the program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City has entered into an agreement with the State of California
to participate in the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes the submittal of an application to the California
Integrated Waste Management Board for a 1995/96 Used Oil Recycling Block Grant; and
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized and empowered to execute
in the name of the City of Temple City all necessary applications, contracts, payment requests, agreements
and amendments hereto for the purposes of securing grant funds and to implement and carry out the
purposes specified in the grant application.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.

7th day of November 1995 by the following vote:
