Battlefield Parkway Ribbon Cutting Delayed
Leesburg, VA (April 16, 2018) – Due to the rain, the ribbon cutting and opening of Battlefield
Parkway has been postponed until Tuesday, April 17, 2018.
Please join Mayor Kelly Burk and members of the Leesburg Town Council at a ribbon cutting
ceremony to celebrate the opening of the last segment of Battlefield Parkway.
WHAT: Battlefield Parkway Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
WHEN: Tuesday, April 17, 2018
1:00 p.m.
WHERE: Battlefield Parkway SE at Masons Lane SE
Leesburg, Virginia 20175
The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place just west of the intersection with Masons Lane.
Parking is limited. Please follow staff direction to parking location.
Battlefield Parkway has been constructed in 10 segments by private developers, VDOT, and the
Town of Leesburg over the past 30 years. This last segment, from South King Street to
Evergreen Mill Road, was constructed by the Town of Leesburg with funding from VDOT,
Loudoun County, and the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority.
