HomeMy Public PortalAbout110-2000 - Grant - Partnership for a INDOTORDINANCE NO. 110-2000 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Transportation has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to help fund the navigation way-finding system. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Department of Transportation to help fund the navigation way-finding system. [The navigation way-finding system is signage that will improve physical access and awareness of the City through better linkages. The navigation way-finding system is part of the City’s linkages plan.] The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to One Hundred Seventy-two Thousand Dollars ($172,000.00). Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to help fund the navigation way-finding system.
