A special meeting of the Bel Harbour Village Council was held Saturday,
January 15, 1;72 at 9:30A.f, in the Village Hall.
Present: Messrs. Beatty, Brush, rr.intup, Taplin and Villeneuve
Also present were Fred W. limey, Village Manager.; Mary T. Wetterer, Village
Clerk; Thomas H. Anderson, Village Attorney; and George M. Whittaker, Village Engineer.
Nr. Pfeiffer of the Dade County health Department explained to the Council
at their recuest that even thouth the water from "forth Miami Beach meets State and
Federal standards for potability the poor quality was due to the necessity of their
plants having to operate at capacity or over capacity until new wells can be drilled
and an expanded treatment plant can be put into operation, He said that expansion of
the North Miami Reach water facilities should begin soon as the bonds are ready to be
sold and this will eliminate the calcium carbonate problem we have nnw.
Mr. Henry von Oesen reviewed for the Council. the projected schedule for the
beach restoration project and the status of the approval of the project by the Corps
of Engineers. He also briefly discussed some of the provisions of the contract to be
entered into by Bal Harbour Village and his firm and 7.urwelle-Whittaker, Inc. It was
moved by Mr. Taplin, seconded by Mr. Beatty and unanimously voted that the Village
Attorney meet with Mr. von Oesen and Mr. Whittaker and formalize the contract and
present it at the next meeting of the Council for their approval.
There being no further business before the meeting on Totien of Mr. Brush,
seconded by Mr. Beatty, and unanimously voted the meet was adjourned at 10:45A.M.

The Council of Bal Harbour Village met Saturday, January 29, 1972 at 9:30 A.M.
in the Village Hall.
Present: Messrs. Beatty, Brush, Printup, Taplin and Villeneuve
Also present were Fred W. Maley, Village Manager; Mary T. Wetterer, Village
Clerk and Thomas H. Anderson, Village Attorney.
0n motion of Mr. Beatty, seconded by Mr. Brush and unanimously voted the
minutes of the previous meetings of December 11, 1971 and January 15, 1972 were approved
as submitted.
