A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AUTHORIZING A CALL FOR BIDS TO CONSTRUCT BY
CONTRACT A BANDSTAND IN TEMPLE CITY PARK, AND WAIVING
THE REQUIREMENT OF PAYMENT OF PREVAILING WAGES IN
CONNECTION THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City has approved plans and specifications
for the construction of a bandstand in Temple City Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the project will not have a negative impact on any
statewide interest; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has indicated the City of Temple City, being a chartered city, may
excuse itself from the state prevailing wage requirements for this specific project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1.
1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to call for bids to construct a bandstand in Temple
City Park; and
2. The bandstand shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications initialed this
date by the City Manager, and shall be constructed at the location in Temple City Park
marked on a map of Temple City Park initialed this date by the City manager; and
3. Pursuant to the authorization of Vial v. San Diego 175 CR 647 (and the other citations set
forth in a memo dated September 1994 by the City Attorney), the City Council fmds that
the construction of such bandstand, as proposed, is entirely a municipal affair of Temple
City as a chartered city, and that such project does not involve any statewide concerns.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED on this 5th day of March 1996.

No. 96 -3491, was adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held on the
5th day of March 1996 by the following vote:
