AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Transportation has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application help fund the replacement of the old Man Street Bridge.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Department of Transportation to help fund the replacement of the old Main Street Bridge.
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00).
Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to help fund the replacement of the old Main Street Bridge.
Passed and adopted this 18th day of December, 2000, by the Common Council for the City of Richmond, Indiana.
