A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DETERMINING AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SUMMERDALE
STREET BETWEEN MCMILLAN STREET AND SOUTH CITY BOUNDARY
LINE
WHEREAS, the vacation of Summerdale Street between McMillan Street
and South City Boundary Line is unnecessary for present and prospective public
street purposes; and
WHEREAS, on June 16, 2009 the City Council of City of Lynwood adopted
a resolution declaring its intention to vacate the aforementioned street; and
WHEREAS, notice of said vacation have been published and posted in the
time, form and manrier required by Section 8317 of the California Street and
Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council elects to proceed in said vacation and
abandonment undert Section 8300 to 8324, inclusive, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby
abandons vacates of Summerdale Street between McMillan Street and South
City Boundary Line and more particularly described as:
Section 2. That the City of Lynwood reserves and excepts from the
foregoing vacation all public easements for construction and maintenance of all
utility facilities within the limits of the street.
That portion of Summerdale Street between McMillan Street and South City
Boundary Line as shown on tract No. 11858 in the City of Lynwood, County of
Los Angele, State of California, Map Book 220, page 43 and 44 of maps in the
office of the Los Angeles County Recorder.
Section 3. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21St day of July, 2009.
