AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH
THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CIVIC
CENTER SPORTS COMPLEX
WHEREAS, the County of Middlesex, ("County") has agreed to donate a sum of
Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) from the County "Open Space
Recreation and Farmland and Historic Preservation Trust Fund" to the Borough of
Carteret ("Borough") for improvements to the Civic Center Sports Complex; and
\VHEREAS, as a condition to the donation of such monies the parties must enter
into a formal Agreement setting forth the terms and conditions of said grant; and
WHEREAS, the Borough finds said grant to be desirable and is willing to accept
said donation pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the attached Grant
Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough ofCarteret as follows:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
the attached Grant Agreement with the County of Middlesex
on behalf of the Borough.
2. That a copy of the executed Grant Agreement be forwarded
to the County of Middlesex as requested.
