A GENERAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CASH TRANSFER FROM
THE GENERAL FUND TO THE OFF STREET PARKING FUND
WHEREAS, the Off Street Parking Fund consists of revenues from city-owned parking lots and contributions from local merchants; and
WHEREAS, the Off Street Parking Fund is used to maintain and operate city-owned parking lots; and
WHEREAS, revenues and contributions during the calendar year 2000 were not sufficient to meet the operating costs of the city-owned parking lots; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to transfer money to the Off Street Parking fund from the General Fund so that the Off Street Parking Fund will not have a negative balance.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the City Controller is hereby authorized to transfer an amount up to Fifteen Thousand dollars
($15,000.00) from the General Fund to the Off Street Parking Fund to insure that the Off Street Parking Fund does not end the fiscal year with a negative cash balance.
Passed and adopted this 18th day of December, 2000, by the Common Council for the City of Richmond, Indiana.
