AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-95 OF THE GREENCASTLE CITY CODE REGARDING
TRASH AND REFUSE PICK-UP AND DISPOSAL FEES
WHEREAS, the monthly fee charged to the City for trash, refuse and recycling pick-up and disposal services is
currently$10.00 per household,per month;
WHEREAS, an increase in said fees is necessary to cover the increasing costs of these services and related
administration costs.
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that it hereby amends
Section 6-95 of the Greencastle City Code to read as follows:
The City of Greencastle shall levy the following charges,per month for trash and refuse pick-up and
disposal services,and curbside recycling services rendered through the City.
March 1,2022 through February 28,2023 $16.50
March 1,2023 through February 25%2024 $17.00
March 1,2024 through February 28,2025 $17.50
March 1,2025 through February 28,2026 $17.75
Sticker Cost:$2.00 per sticker for excess disposal units.
Additional Refuse Toter Cost per month: $5.00 per extra toter.
Additional Recycling Toter Cost per month: $5.00 per extra toter.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle Common Council and its approval
by the Mayor.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, Indiana this 13th day of January,
2022.
