Members pre3_ent were:Burman,Burroughs,Kurtz,MacKenzie,Pat erson & Widmaier. The minutes of the regular meeting of November 1 a d the caked meetings of Nov.2 and 25 we -,:e read and approved as read. Application of Richard W.Ware was read anu as Mr.Ware was present ke was asked about his qualifications as a police officer er and utility man. He stated that h; hau run a tractor and graver in Minn.and hau been constable up there.The matter vvas to be taken up latter and I r. are left.i ick Ourtis askew the boaru about his beer license as he had just taken out a county license and as he was now in title town limits, he wnted to know if he would have to get a town license.But in taking the matter up with the town atty.it vas .pound that the county license wa was good until its time was up. Vernon Frye asked tae board to deed 10 ft.of the west side of lot 24 B1k.2,0riginal town back to him as it was not used for an alley way any more.This strip was to be 50 ft. in length. T:lis was protested by Otis Miller who wanted the whole a. .ley opened up again.Mr.Miller was to take the matter up with his Atty.so it was left to him to look up. Let ,er from Engineers ana Bonding Co. asked about the town about putting in a sewer.But no action was taken. The test of the water was dec faired to be safe. Burman moved,Widmaier seconded:To grant homer Galyon a Cemetery deed to the NW of lot 3,Sec.13,B1k.3.Motion carried. There was a request for a D. P. to be used in the cemetery but it yeas a ee4 decided not to get one. The clerk read the monthly report. An application of Cli:fora White for a lcuor license to sell liquor \ by the drink was read. Burroughs moved,MacKenzie seconded:To grant Clifforu White a Retail Liquor license to sell liquor by the drink.Upon a ballot vote there were two ayes and four noes.Motion was lost. Patterson movea,MacKenzie seconded:To hire Richard Ware as Police officer and untility man. at the salary of 17o.00 per month.Motion carried upon roll call.He was to serve at the will end pleasure of the board, and his duties were to begin Jan.1 1950.There was one no against this motion. Katherine Dii.ling asked the board about getting a dance license for tne pool hail.Afeter some discussion it was decided not to allow the licenseas _ere were so many Mexicans in the summer. Rec commendat ions of Richard 4 -are who was Lakin over the Police and General Utility man were read ane discussed. Sherman Woods was instructed to keep car from parking in front of the theater more especia_Lly during show time. The clerks monthly retort was read.
