Upcoming Class to Highlight the History of Photography
Leesburg, VA (October 24, 2022) – Curator of Manuscripts and Archives Laura E. Christiansen will
teach “History of Photography” on Thursday, November 3, beginning at 10 a.m., in the lower-
level meeting room at Thomas Balch Library, in Leesburg.
Christiansen will share the history and technology of photographic media from daguerreotypes
to digital images. The class will focus on tips and tricks for identification and dating of
photographs featuring examples from Thomas Balch Library’s Archives.
