Amy Cornell-Titcomb Hired as Deputy Emergency
Management Coordinator
Cornell-Titcomb will start with the Town on November 28, 2022.
Leesburg, VA (November 3, 2022) – Leesburg Town Manager
Kaj Dentler announced today that Amy Cornell-Titcomb has
been hired as the Town’s deputy emergency management
coordinator.
Cornell-Titcomb has an extensive background in emergency
management, and most recently served as the emergency
preparedness and all hazards manager for the Prince William
County Service Authority. She previously worked for the Utah
Transit Authority overseeing its muti-modal transit system that
covered 1,600 square miles of operations. In 2021 she was
named to the International Association of Emergency
Managers Top 40 Under 40 list for Region 3.
In Leesburg, Cornell-Titcomb will work alongside Emergency
Management Coordinator Alex Fitch under the leadership of
Dentler, who serves as the Town’s Emergency Management
Director.
“I am pleased to announce the selection of Amy Cornell-Titcomb as deputy emergency
management coordinator,” Dentler said. “I believe Amy’s experience in emergency response
and management for different agencies will be an asset in strengthening the Town’s emergency
management program.”
Cornell-Titcomb holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Utah State University, and a
master’s degree in Intelligence Studies from American Military University. She also received a
graduate certificate in Public Health & Disaster and Emergency Management from American
Military University while completing her masters degree.
