Parking Garage Repairs Beginning On Upper Levels
Monday, January 16, 2023
Leesburg, VA (January 13, 2023) – Work continues in the Town Hall parking garage and, on
Monday, January 16, will shift to levels 1 through 3.
The basement of the parking garage will reopen on Monday, January 16. Spaces in the
basement will be open to the general public on a first come, first serve basis. Also beginning
Monday, crews will begin making repairs to walkways and stairwells on the west side of the
garage. When repairs on the west side are completed, work will shift to the east side of the
garage.
There will be minimal impact to travel lanes during this construction period; however, parking
availability on the first through third levels of the garage will be impacted. One stairwell on
each level of the garage will remain open while the other stairwell is closed for repair. The
elevator will remain in operation at all times. Weather permitting, the remaining planned repair
work is estimated to take two to three months. Parking fees in the garage will not resume until
March 1.
While the garage will remain open during construction, visitors should use caution when
navigating the garage. Staff is also encouraging drivers to keep in mind alternate parking
locations within walking distance to the garage. A full list of downtown parking options can be
