Public Input Sought on Two Residential Permit Parking Zones
Leesburg, VA (January 26, 2023) – A public hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 7
to consider the withdrawal of two residential permit parking zones in downtown Leesburg:
• Cornwall Street between Wirt and Liberty streets
• Wirt Street between West Market and Cornwall streets
Per Town Code, these zones were approved in April 2022. Since then, Town staff has regularly
monitored the zones and observed very limited use of the on-street parking spaces by
residents.
The meeting will be held in Lower-Level Conference Room 1 at Town Hall, 25 W Market Street,
beginning at 5:30 p.m. Anyone who wishes to express their views regarding this matter will be
heard. Anyone requiring special accommodations should contact the Clerk of Council at 703-
771-2733 or eboeing@leesburgva.gov, one day in advance (TTD 703-771-4560).
Additional information concerning this withdrawal of the Residential Permit Parking Zone is
available by contacting Transportation Engineer Niraja R. Chandrapu at 703-771-2791 or by
emailing nchandrapu@leesburgva.gov. More information regarding the residential permit
parking program can be found here.
