Leesburg Named to Top Travel Destinations List
Leesburg, VA (February 2, 2023) – The Town of Leesburg has been named to Good
Housekeeping’s 20 Best Cheap Places to Travel in 2023 list.
Leesburg is the only locality in the Commonwealth of Virginia to make the list. In the feature,
Leesburg’s historic downtown is compared to “stepping into a postcard”, featuring art galleries,
restaurants, and retail spaces. The Town is noted for its proximity to both Washington, DC and
Loudoun County’s many winery, brewery, and distillery destinations, many of which reside
within Leesburg Town limits. Its ample hotel offerings also offer a more affordable place to stay
compared to closer to the nation’s capital, the write-up points out.
This latest accolade follows on Leesburg’s recognition in Fortune’s Best Places to Raise a Family
list and as the Most Beautiful Town in Virginia by TheTravel.com.

for a unique and exciting place to visit,” stated Economic Development Director Russell
