a) TAP GRANT (David Bange)
Mr. Bange started out with more detailed information about the idea of the
bicycle/pedestrian committee with background information to bring to our attention-
including the history of our sidewalks; our Jefferson City bike loop (a way finding plan to
create a 17-mile bike loop around Jefferson City); Lastly information about the TAP grant
applications that were submitted and just recently finding out we will be rewarded the
grants. Mr. Bange presented a lengthy presentation with interesting facts about the history

of Jefferson City’s sidewalks, he also informed us more about what we were doing with
that grant - A few things he spoke about was adding pavement markings on streets that
are less than 35 mph, making room to have an official bike lane for safe riding, then he
showed a presentation about what symbol signs are placed in bike lanes which have been
placed about three months ago prior to the meeting.
b) Capitol Area Active Transportation Plan (Katrina Williams)
Ms. Williams began with a power point of information for the Capitol Area Active in the
power point she gave CAMPO’s project goals with their objectives for the project,
information about Public engagement, funding, a timeline of the goals from Summer
2022 all the way to Summer 2023. Included in the power point were the Capital Area
Pedestrian & Bicycle Plan that was adopted on October 19, 2016. She also mentioned that
CAMPO’s consultants are Craft and Toll who are out of Arkansas as we also have a sub-
consultant called Lane Shift. Ms. Williams wants to make sure that the Capitol Area Active
Transportation Plan has enough information so that others are able to use the tools for
education and programing, she then explained our planning documents aren’t owned by
the government and the documents belong to our community as a whole. Ms. Williams
also encouraged members to take the Capitol Area Active Transportation Plan Survey
(www.surveymonkey.com/r/CAATPsurvey1), and challenged them to ask at least one
other person to take the survey. After the consultant evaluates the survey’s and input
received at meetings, Ms. Williams will share the results with this Commission.
