The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ryan Towner at 8:15 a.m., a quorum was present
at that time.

2. Acceptance of the December 01, 2023 meeting minutes
Mr. Stephen Brooks made a motion to approve the minutes. Mr. Jeffery Collins seconded
the motion; all members were in favor of motion.
3. New Business
a) Request: Request to remove loading zone on the southeast side of the 600 block of
Marshall Street. (Requestor: Mr. Steven Johnson; Johnson’s Barber & Beauty Shop)
Mrs. Griffin gave the staff report. The city may support removing this loading zone and
making it four (4) parking spaces with the same time restriction as the entire block of
Marshall Street, unless other three (3) property owners on Marshall Street have a strong
objection.
After a few questions and concerns with Mr. Steven Johnson and his business, the
commission members came to a resolution of removing the loading zone and making the
whole street ninety (90) minute parking Monday thru Saturday. Mr. Bill Farr made a

motion to accept the request, Mr. Stephen Brooks seconded. All members were in favor
of the staff request.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Mr. Bill Farr, seconded by Mr. Stephen
Brooks. All members were in favor of motion. Meeting adjourned at 9:35 a.m.
