Jeff Stiefermann Stacey Backues Pete Fleischmann Stephanie Scruggs Mark McCarthy Troy Pinkerton Approval of February 09, 2022 Minutes Scott Stacey moved to approve the minutes from the February 09, 2023 Board meeting. The motion was seconded by Pete Fleischmann and passed on a voice vote. Old Business No old business was brought forward. New Business Lieutenant Stiefermann briefed the Board on the current status of the Department’s staffing: There are currently 11 Police Officer vacancies out of an authorized strength of 91 commissioned officers. Six persons are currently progressing through the hiring/training process and a conditional offer of employment has been extended to one applicant who already has his state peace officer certification. The Communications section currently has 4 vacancies out of an authorized strength of 20. One person has been hired with an estimated start date of April 10th.. A conditional offer of employment has been extended to one applicant and another applicant is progressing through the hiring process. An applicant for Animal Control Officer is currently undergoing the hiring process. One officer is out with an injury, one is on light duty due to injury, and anot her has scheduled a July retirement, leaving one active uninjured officer. 15 applications has been received for the Records Section part-time position, which just closed. Begin Closed Session Stephanie Scruggs moved to go into a closed session pursuant to RSMo. 610.021. The motion was seconded by Troy Pinkerton. The motion passed with a roll call vote as follows: McCarthy-yes Backues-yes Fleischmann-yes Scruggs-yes Dupuis-yes Pinkerton-yes End Closed Session Mark McCarthy moved to come out of closed session. The motion was seconded by Stacey Backues and passed by the following roll call vote: McCarthy-yes Backues-yes Fleischmann-yes Scruggs-yes Dupuis-yes Pinkerton-yes Other Business Lt. Stiefermann gave a short update on the implementation of body cameras. The next meeting is scheduled for April 13, 2023. Adjournment Paul Dupuis moved to adjourn the meeting, which was seconded by Pete Fleischmann. The motion passed on a voice vote. Meeting was adjorned.
