Minutes – May 11, 2023
The meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m.

Approval of March 09, 2023 Minutes
Troy Pinkerton moved to approve the minutes from the April 13, 2023 Board meeting. The motion was
seconded by Stacey Backues and passed on a voice vote.
Old Business
Lt. Stiefermann updated the Board on current staffing levels. There are currently 7 vacancies for Police
Officer, one opening in Communications, and one Animal Control Officer vacancy.
Lt. Stiefermann advised one Probationary Officer, Johnathan Turner, graduated from the academy on
May 4th and was recognized for academic achievement. Two appointees will start the academy May 15.
Oral interviews for 16 Records Clerk applicants will be held next week and interviews for 9 Animal
Control applicants and 5 Communications applicants will be held in the near future.
The most recent test for Police Officer was given May 9, with one applicant testing and passing. Two
applicants with POST certification are also in the application process.
New Business
The Board selected Troy Pinkerton as secretary for the upcoming year on a unanamious voice vote.
The next meeting date was set for June 08, 2023 following police officer applicant testing on on June 5.
Begin Closed Session
Pete Fleischmann moved to go into a closed session pursuant to RSMo. 610.021. The motion was
seconded by Stephanie Scruggs. The motion passed with a roll call vote as follows:

Mark McCarthy moved to come out of closed session. The motion was seconded by Stacey Backues
and passed by the following roll call vote:

Adjournment
Pete Fleischmann moved to adjourn the meeting, which was seconded by Troy Pinkerton. The motion
passed on a voice vote. Meeting was adjourned at 12:40 pm.
