NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Architectural Review and Planning Board
of the Town of Gulf Stream will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday,
January 27, 1993 at 9:00 A.M. and the Town Commission, Sitting as the
Board of Adjustment, will hold a Public Hearing on Friday, February 12,
1993 at 9:00 A.M., both in the Commission Chambers at the Town Hall,
100 Sea Road, Gulf Stream, Florida at which the following will be
considered:
An application submitted by Albert Socol of Lodin, Weiss, and
Socol Architects, 102 Lost Bridge Dr., Palm Beach Gardens, F1.
33410, as Agent for the Gulf Stream School Foundation, Inc.,
3600 Gulf Stream Road, Gulf Stream, F1. 33483 requesting
variances from the provisions of the Code of Ordinances of the
Town of Gulf Stream as follows:
A. Chapter 66; ZONING, Article VI; DISTRICT REGULATIONS, Division
2.; RS SINGLE-FAMILY, RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, Section 66-202;
Front yard required to permit
1. construction of a multi-purpose building which will
abut the stage of the existing cha_oel and extend
seventy one and three tenths feet (71.3') into the
the required one hundred three and three tenths feet
(103.3') front yard setback adjacent to State Road AlA
and
2. construction of a covered walkway near the southwest
corner of the property, adjacent to existing buildings,
which will extend fifty-three and eight tenths feet

Height limits to permit construction of a multi-purpose
building abutting the stage of the existing chapel which
would exceed the maximum permitted height of thirty feet
(30') by five feet (5').
ALL PERSONS INTERESTED in these matters may appear before the Architectural
Review and Planning Board and the Town Commission of the Town of Gulf
Stream at the times and place aforesaid and be heard.

Mrs. Souder moved and Mr. Lynch seconded that the minutes be approved
as circulated. Roll Call: Mr. McGraw; AYE, Mrs. Souder; AYE, Mr. Lynch;

Chairman Orthwein declared a conflict in that her brother-in-law, James
Orthwein, is a Trustee of the school and is involved in the proposed project.
She passed the gavel to Vice Chairman Lynch.
Town Manager Harrington read a letter from Susan Ridgley, President and
OJames Orthwein, Jr., Vice Presidentof the Gulf Stream School Board of
Trustees, requesting that consideration of this project be postponed until
the February 24th meeting so that they will have additional time to
explain the proposed project to the residents of Gulf Stream.
Mrs. Souder moved that consideration of the variance request submitted by
the Gulf Stream School Foundation be continued to the meeting of February
24, 1993. The motion was seconded by Mr. McGraw. Roll Call: Mr. McGraw;
AYE, Mrs. Souder; AYE, Mr. Ogren; AYE, and Vice Chairman Lynch; AYE.

VI. Site Plan Review
A. Albert Socol, Agent for Gulf Stream School Foundation, 3600
Gulf Stream Road, Gulf Stream, F1. 33483 -Construction of a
multi-purpose building and a covered walkway.
Mrs. Souder moved that consideration of the site plan for the proposed
project and all related permit requests on this agenda submitted by the
QGulf Stream School Foundation be continued until the February 24, 1993
meeting. The motion was seconded by Mr. McGraw. Roll Call: Mr. McGraw;
AYE, Mrs. Souder; AYE, Mr. Ogren; AYE, Vice Chairman Lynch; AYE.
Vice Chairman Lynch returned the gavel to Chairman Orthwein.
B. CONTINUATION of a Site Plan Amendment Review submitted by
Richard K. Brooks, Jr. as Agent for Gerry & Mary Lepkanich,
3223 N. Ocean Blvd., Gulf Stream, Florida 33483 -To permit
the addition of an outside, covered stairway to the dwelling
under construction at this location.
Town Manager Harrington read a letter from Mr. Brooks requesting that he
be allowed to withdraw the Site Plan Revision application, without
prejudice. He further advised that Mr. & Mrs. Lepkanich expect to change
the design of the proposed revision and a new scheme would be submitted
soon. Mr. Lynch moved that the request to withdraw the Site Plan Revision
Application, without prejudice, be granted. The motion was seconded by
Mrs. Souder. Roll Call: Mr. McGraw; AYE, Mrs. Souder; AYE, Mr. Lynch; AYE,
Mr. Ogren; AYE, and Chairman Orthwein; AYE.
