RESOLUTION 97 -3564
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 90 -2939 WHICH PROVIDED
FOR THE CONDUCT OF A SPECIAL RUNOFF ELECTION FOR
ELECTIVE OFFICES IN THE EVENT OF A TIE VOTE AT ANY
MUNICIPAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City Council, on March 6, 1990, adopted a resolution with provisions for a special
runoff election in the event of a tie vote at the April 10, 1990, election and at each municipal election
thereafter; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires a tie vote to be determined by lot;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA,
DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 15651 of the Elections Code of the State of California,
a tie vote shall be determined by lot, thereby repealing Resolution No. 90 -2939.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and
enter it into the book of original resolutions.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED on the 4th day of February, 1997.
