RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BEACON PLANNING AND CONSULTING
SERVICES TO PREPARE AND SOLICT A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
(RFQ) FOR THE WEST CARTERET COMMERCIAL REDEVELOPMENT
AREA
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 05-63, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough")
adopted a [onnal redevelopment plan for the West Carteret Commercial Redevelopment
Area (WCCRA); and
\VHEREAS, the Borough desires to select a qualified redeveloper to implement a
redeveJopment project(s) in accordance with the approved redevelopment plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that Beacon Planning and Consulting Services, the author afthe West Carteret
Commercial Redevelopment Plan, is hereby authorized to prepare and solicit a Request
for Qualifications (RFQ) for a potential redeveloper(s) to undertake the redevelopment of
the WCCRA.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Beacon Planning shall be entitled to a
reimbursable budget not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the incident costs,
including printing and advertising costs, associated with the preparation and solicitation
of the above-described RFQ.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Borough's Purchasing Department and to Beacon Planning.
