RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BEACON PLANNING AND CONSULTING
SERVICES TO PREPARE AND SOLICT A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
(RFQ) FOR THE MIDDLESEX AVENUE RESIDENTIAL REDEVELOPMENT
AREA
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 06-02, the Borough ofCarteret (the "Borough")
adopted a [onnal redevelopment plan for the Middlesex Avenue Residential
Redevelopment Area (MARRA); and
WHEREAS, the Borough desires to select a qualified redeveloper to implement a
redevelopment project(s) in accordance with the approved redevelopment plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that Beacon Planning and Consulting Services, the author of the Middlesex
A venue Residential Redevelopment Plan, is hereby authorized to prepare and solicit a
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a potential redeveloper(s) to undertake the
redevelopment of the MARRA.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Beacon Platming shall be entitled to a
reimbursable budget for the incident costs, including printing and advertising costs,
associated with the preparation and solicitation of the above described RFQ.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Borough's purchasing Department and to Beacon Planning.
