The Council of the Village of Medina met in regular session on Tuesday,
December 1, 1970 at 7:30 P. M.

The minutes of the meeting of November 4, 1970 read. Moved by Donald Des
Lauriers that the minutes be approved as read.

Stevens that the minutes be approved as read.

The minutes of the special meeting of November 17, 1970 read. Moved by
Raymond Bosch that the minutes approved as corrected.

Theis that the minutes be approved as read.

The Minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of November 16, 1970 read.
Application from the Minneapolis Gas Company for placing underground lines.
Moved by Donald Des Lauriers to grant permission to the Minneapolis Gas
Company to install gas lines on Mill Street, gas line Job #S-226 - 1970,

A letter from Mills Engineering Company - re: complaint of Mr. Newcomb
with regard to drainage ditch. The Village is not obligated to take care
of it.
A letter from Charles Nolan with regard to mobile homes read.
Discussion of the Uniform Snowmobile Ordinance. Moved by Thomas Stevens
to adopt the Uniform Snowmobile Ordinance, deleting Section B, Option 1;
Subdivision 3, Option 2; and Subdivision 10, Option 3.

Motion carried.
A letter from Gov. LeVander with regard to conferences on community schools
was read and given to Arthur Theis for further attention.
A letter from the League of Minnesota Municipalities with an explanation
of the proposals BB the League with regard to'for new legislation with
regard to guaranteeing of local bond issues and Short-term financing.
Moved by Thomas Stevens to approve the issues as outlined in the League's
letter.

Announcement of Hennepin County League on December 3, 1970 at 6 P. M. at
the Ambassador Motel.
Moved by Arthur Theis that we renew our contract with the Suburban Hennepin
County Relief Board for the year 1971,
Seconded by Raymond Bosch
Council polled: Donald Des Lauriers, yes; Arthur Theis, yes;
Raymond Bosch, yes; Wayne Neddermeyer, yes; and Thomeas
Stevens, yes.
Notion carried.
A letter from Anne Dorweiler regarding the house numbering project was read.
Moved by Raymond Bosch to pay the bills as follows: Payroll in the amount
of 34,181.18 and order checks in the amount of -)9,787.75.

Discussion with regard to the Boyer Garbage Serv.ce„ Moved by Donald Des
Lauriers that we write a letter to Mrs. Boyer that we are considering
raising the license fee and also we want a written agreement that you
use the Village roads for pick-ups only.
Seconded by Thomas Stevens.
Motion carried.
