CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ron Fitzwater called the August 21, 2023 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at 5:45
P.M. to review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Councilmembers were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Ahlers, Deeken, Hensley, Lester, Mealy, Schwartz, Spencer, Spicer, Wiseman,
and Wright
Absent: None
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilmember Deeken will lead the prayer.
Miscellaneous
- Eric Hoy, Cole County EMS Chief will introduce Kayla Riel for an EMS CARES update.
Public Hearings
- City Staff presented the bills being publicly heard.
Consent Agenda
- Councilmember Lester would like to take consent agenda item a. Minutes of City Council
Meetings: August 7, 2023 up separately from the rest of the consent agenda, to make a
correction to the minutes.
Bills Introduced
- City Staff presented their introduced bills.
Bills Pending
- City Staff presented their pending bills.
Informal Calendar
- Councilmember Spencer intends to leave bill 2023-017 on the informal calendar to expire after
tonight’s meeting. He is working with Councilmember Schwartz and City Attorney Ryan
Moehlman on an amended contract with Bird Rides Inc.
Resolutions
- City Staff presented their resolutions.
