AWARDING CONTRACT FOR KIDDE XL4 MLTI PURPOSE DRY
CHEMICAL (ABC) FIRE EXTINGUISHERS AND KIDDE EXCEL XL 2.5 MP
MULTI-PURPOSE FIRE EXTINGUISHER UL RATED
WHEREAS, the Borough ofCarteret has received bids on April 27, 2006 for the Fire Extinguishers; and
WHEREAS, the following company has submitted the lowest responsible bid for the respective contract as
evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and Borough's Building
Department for Fire Extinguishers:

Rahway, NJ 07065
$17,252.
WHEREAS, The Borough Building Department has reviewed the above proposal and has recommended
the award of a contract to respective bidder as identified above.
WHEREAS, The Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as
follows:
1. that the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract for
the respective work with the above identified contractor for the Fire Extinguishers for the
above references amount in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and
bid on same and subject to the conditions set forth in the Borough Building Department's
Recommendation of A ward, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Building Department for distribution to the respective contractors.
Adopted this 4'" day of May, 2006 and certified as a
true copy if the original on May 5, 2006.
