HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 97-35811 1 RESOLUTION NO 97 -3581 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, ESTABLISHING HOLIDAYS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996 -97 AND FISCAL YEAR 1997 -98. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the Temple City Personnel Rules and Regulations, the holidays established for the City of Temple City are as follows: New Years Day Presidents Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Day Three floating holidays, two of which are designated by the City Council each fiscal year. SECTION 2. For fiscal year 1996 -97, all three floating holiday's are designated as floating holidays to be taken by each employee as they choose, in compliance with the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations pertaining to use of vacation. Such holidays may not be used or carried over into fiscal year 1997 -98, which starts July 1, 1997. SECTION 3. For fiscal year 1997 -98, (for both represented and unrepresented employees) the three floating holidays are designated as Veterans Day, November 11, 1997; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 19, 1998; and one floating holiday to be taken at an employee's option. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED ON THIS 18TH DAY OF MARCH, 1997. A't 1'EST: Mayor I, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution, Resolution No. 97 -3581 was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of March, 1997, by the following vote: AYES: Councilman - Breazeal, Brook, Wilson, Gillanders, Souder NOES: Councilman -None ABSENT: Councilman -None
