Photography Exhibit by Becky Hart Opens at Leesburg Town
Hall on March 2, 2018
Exhibit will be on display through May 31, 2018.
Leesburg, VA (February 27, 2018) –
The Leesburg Commission on Public
Art is pleased to announce a new
art exhibit on the first floor of the
Leesburg Town Hall (25 West
Market Stree). “Endless Wonder – a
glimpse into a Loudoun County
childhood” features photography
by Becky Hart.
Hart is a Leesburg-based
photographer specializing in natural
light portrait and lifestyle
photography. Her organic approach
involves capturing unexpected, luminous images that showcase her subjects’ true personas in
all their complexity, avoiding predictable or contrived portraits.
Authenticity is the key ingredient in her artistic sensibility. Hart believes that big, bright smiles
are lovely, but the unlikely expressions are equally appealing.
“The intention of this project was to capture the whimsy and curiosity of a child growing up in
this diverse area we call home,” Hart explains. “I believe in creating photos that showcase
vibrant energy. Photos that capture authentic curiosity in the life of a child. A life momentarily
free from technology! The photos celebrate the imagination of a child in this land of
opportunity. The majority of the photos included in this exhibit were taken on the grounds of
the Oatlands Historic House & Gardens, a National Trust Historic Site , where I have had the
privilege of residing since 2017.”
The first and second floor lobbies and hallways of the Leesburg Town Hall feature rotating
exhibits by Leesburg and Loudoun artists. Artists interested having their work considered for a
future exhibit in the Town Hall should contact Anne Geiger, staff liaison to the Commission on
Public Art, at ageiger@leesburgva.gov.
