A RESOLUTION: AWARD OF CONTRACT TO CARAHSOFT TECHNOLOGY
CORPORATION FOR A VENDOR VERIFICATION SYSTEM
WHEREAS, four proposals were received in response to a solicitation for a Vendor
Verification System; and
WHEREAS, all proposals were evaluated by a selection committee in accordance with
the requirements of the Town's Procurement Policy and the Request for Proposal; and
WHEREAS, Carahsoft Technology Corporation was selected by the Town's selection
committee; and
WHEREAS, the Vendor Verification System contract is for one (1) year, renewable
annually for one (1) year periods with an option to terminate by the Town or the contractor;
- and- -
WHEREAS, Carahsoft Technology Corporation was the lowest cost proposer offering
both hosted verification system services and indemnification for vendor identity theft or fraud
at$36,000 annually with a$10,000 first year only implementation fee; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are included in the Adopted Fiscal Year 2023 General
Fund and in the Proposed Fiscal Year 2024 General Fund Budget; and
WHEREAS, Council approval of the contract is necessary as the cumulative value of
the potential contract is anticipated to exceed the Town Manager's signature authority of
$200,000 if not terminated by either party; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Procurement Officer and Director of Finance and
Administrative Services recommend awarding a contract for a Vendor Verification System to
Carahsoft Technology Corporation.

A RESOLUTION: AWARD OF CONTRACT TO CARAHSOFT TECHNOLOGY
CORPORATION FOR A VENDOR VERIFICATION SYSTEM
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
I. The Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute contract in a form approved by
the Town Attorney for a Vendor Verification System to Carahsoft Technology
Corporation in the amount of $36,000 annually with $10,000 first year only
implementation fee.
