HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 97-35871 1 1 RESOLUTION NO 97 -3587 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DESIGNATING AN ALTERNATE HOLIDAY FOR CITY EMPLOYEES FOR THE 1997 INDEPENDENCE DAY HOLIDAY WHEREAS, the Independence Day holiday for 1997 falls on a normal Friday off for City employees due the 9/80 work schedule; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Temple City Personnel Rules and Regulations, Rule 13, Section 3(C), which states, "If any of the foregoing holidays fall on a Friday when the City is closed, the holiday shall be recognized on a Friday when the City is open, as determined by the City Council." NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The day after Christmas, Friday, December 26, 1997, shall serve as an alternate day off for all City employees in lieu of Independence Day (July 4, 1997), which is a normal Friday off for employees. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED ON THIS 15TH DAY OF APRIL, 1997.
