May 17 2006 Date 01 Adoption J AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH A WR LAND SURVEYING WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional engineering services for certain required surveying, topographic and drafting services; and \VHEREAS, A WR Land Surveying possesses the requisite knowledge, skill and experience to complete said professional land surveyor; and WHEREAS, A WR Land Surveying has proposed to perform the above described land survey in an amount not to exceed $1,000.00; and \VHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have considered said proposal; \VHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: 1. That the proposal of A WR Land Surveying to provide professional and land surveying services in the amount not to exceed $1,000.00 is hereby approved. 2. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services contract. 4. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department, the Borough Engineer and A WR Land Surveying. A boundary survey will be performed in the field, based on deed infonnation provided by the client and a survey map will be prepared in accordance with the survey standards of the New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors ~-_..-----_.._-~ (,-- Item Cost: $600.~/ r·-·· Item: Topographic Survey: Concurrent with above, a topographic survey will be perfonned, using an assumed elevation datum. Physical features of the site and the adjoining streets will be located and plotted. This infonnation will be integrated with the above to produce a Boundary & Topographic Survey. -- --~ Item Cost: $400.00 c --.--/ The above items include Autocad drafting services as needed to prepare the map. Drafting service for design plans as directed by the Engineer is available at $50.00 per hour. Electronic copies of all Autocad files will be provided to the Engineer. In house reproductions are available at a charge of $2.00 per sheet for 24" x 36" plots. Please note that a deed for the property must be provided, prior to the release of the survey.
