These announcements were made by Chairman Orthwein.
VI. Applications for Development Approval.
A. Joel Vernazzaro as Agent for Martin O'Boyle, 23 North Hidden
Harbour Drive, Gulf Stream, Florida 33483.
1. SITE PLAN REVIEW -To permit installation of a new roof
which would be of a different material and color than the
existing roof at the address stated above that is described
as Lot #5, Hidden Harbour Estates Subdivision.
Mr. Vernazzaro explained that the existing roof is cedar shakes and there
are a number of leaks in the roof. He stated that it would be more in
keeping with the style of the structure to eliminate the cedar shakes and
they are proposing to use a "Pinto Blend" color of concrete "S" tile. A
sample of the tile was displayed and a number of pictures of the existing
structure were circulated. The members of the Board agreed that the new
material would be an improvement over the cedar shakes. Mr. Lynch moved
and Mr. McGraw seconded that it be recommended to the Town Commission that
the application be approved as submitted. Roll Call: Mr. McGraw; AYE,

VII. Items by Staff.

There was no report available at this time.

Town Manager Harrington reported that the Task Force will be holding a
meeting sometime after the joint meeting to consider recommendations for
reorganizing the level of authority assigned to staff, the ARPB, and
the Town Commission with regard to Applications for Development Approval.
VIII. Items by Board Members.
There were no items by board members.
IX. Public. Mr. Russell Moir was recognized and expressed his displeasure
with the destruction of property in his neighborhood caused by the
construction in progress on the property owned by Tom Crocker. Mr. Harring-
ton advised that he had been in contact with the superintendent on the job
and suggested that an attempt be made to get permission from the owner of
a nearby vacant lot to park vehicles on the lot. He further advised that
full restoration of damaged property would be made at the completion of
the construction work with some of the worst damage being repaired now.
Mr. Harrington noted that the streets are very narrow making it impossible
for some of the very large trucks to make turns without getting off the
pavement. Mr. Moir stated that landscaping had been installed at the
construction site making it impossible to park vehicles on the site and
observed that the landscaping could have waited until the end of construction
Chairman Orthwein stated that the Board would look into the matter in an
effort to assist in a solution to these problems.
X. Adjournment. Chairman Orthwein adjourned the meeting at 9:30 A.M.
on a motion to do so made by Mr. Lynch which was seconded by Mr.
McGraw with all voting in the affirmative.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Architectural Review and Planning
Board of the Town of Gulf Stream will hold a meeting on Wednesday,
October 26, 1994, at 9:00 A.M., and the Town Commission will hold a meet-
ing on Friday, November 18, 1994 at 9:00 A.M., both in the Commission
Chambers of the Town Hall, 100 Sea Road, Gulf Stream, Florida, at which
the following will be considered:
A application for development approval, a Site Plan Review,
submitted by Joel Vernazzaro, as Agent for Martin O'Boyle,
23 North Hidden Harbour Drive, Gulf Stream, Florida 33483
to permit the installation of a_ new roof which would be of
a different material and color than the existing roof at the
address stated herein that is described as Lot #5, Hidden
Harbour Estates Subdivision.
The Architectural Review and Planning Board shall make a recommendation
to the Town Commission, and the Town Commission shall make a final
decision regarding the subject application at their respective
meetings noticed above. These meetings may be adjourned from time to
time and place to place as may be necessary to hear all parties and
evidence.
Complete application materials are on file in the.office of the Town
Clerk'located at 100 Sea Road, Gulf Stream, Florida 33483 and may be
reviewed during regular business hours which generally include non -
holiday weekdays from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
ALL PARTIES INTERESTED IN THIS MATTER may appear before the
Architectural Review and Planning Board and the Town Commission of the
Town of Gulf Stream at the times and place aforesaid and be heard.
