Wayne Neddermeyer - 4ayor in Chair Priscilla Arens - Clerk All members present The minutes of the meeting of November 6, 1968 read. Moved by Raymond Bosch that the minutes be approved as read. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Madlyn A. Senescc11 appeared with regard to securing a liquor license for the Johnson Liquor Store which she is purchasing. The Clerk is to send her application blanks. Moved by Raymond Bosch to have a special meeting on Tuesday, December 17th at 8:00 P. M. for the purpose of setting police salaries, discuss the road supervisor job and considering the Senescall liquor license. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Marlon ;men appeared with regard to the Medina4iorningside water rate increase. Moved by Raymond Bosch that we reject the request of the water Supply Company to increase the price of the water for Medina-Morningside to 950 per 1000 gallons of water. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. Letter from Gubbins & Smith listing the easement costs to individuals. by Harold Winterhalter to pay at the January meeting the bills for the easements in the amount of $5,090.00. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. Moved Bob Mann gave a report on the well and sewer proltect. Moved by Raymond Bosch to accept the deeds from the Consolidated Land Company and Lagitence Elwell et al, and easement from George and Margaret Favorite for the Brookview road. Seconded by Ruburn Anderson Motion ca.tTied. A letter from the Hennepin County Department of Public Works was read with regard new formula for distribution of county aid to municipalities under 5000 poppiation. Announcemen* of meeting to be held December 4, 1968 at 8:00 P. M. was made. Letter from Gubbins and Smith with regard to proposed plat of Wilfred J. Cavanaugh. A letter was read from Gubbins and Smith stating that the maximum fee for drive-in theater license is $300.00. A letter was read from Gubbins and Smith stating that the Village is liable for dog in police car. 77 A letter with regard to sand -salt mixture from Western Concrete Corporation was read. Announcement was made of the League of Municipalities meeting to be held December 4, 1968 at the Administrative_Building of Crystal Announcement made of the regional meetings of the Land and Water Conservation Fund. Moved by Arthur Theis that we renew our relief contradt with the Suburban Hennepin County Relief Board. Seconded by Harold Winterhalter Motion carried. A letter addressed to Mayor Neddermeyer fromMrs. Vern Olson with regard to the April fire call to thdirplace was read. Harold Winterhalter brought up the matter of the condition of the old feed mill behind Fortin's Hardware. Clerk is to write the owner with regard to this matter. Moved by Harold Winterhalter that we authorize the road supervisor to put temporary "no parking" signs on the main street of Hamel. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Moved by Harold Winterhalter for adoption of the following resolution to be put in the Minnetonka Sun as a news item: Whereas the sewer and water project in the Community of Hamel in the Village of Medina has caused severe street conditipns and whereas the business places in Hamel are likely to suffer financially, be it resolved that the Council of the Village of Medina encourages all Village residents to lend their support by doing business with these places during the ensuing weeks of street disruption." Seconded by Raymond Bosch Motion carried. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to extend the sewer which requires an a ement running north off of #55, parallel to the Dorweiler-road, running 161 feet north subject to the fee owners signing an easement agreement, assigning to the Village of Medina an easement for this improvement. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to pay the bills as follows: Payroll in the amount of $3,251.96 and order checks in the amount of $124,920.83.
