HomeMy Public PortalAboutTOL PR 2018-03-20 snow emergency routes Town of Leesburg News Release For Immediate Release March 20, 2018 Media Contact: Betsy Arnett, Public Information Officer barnett@leesburgva.gov  703-771-2734 Snow Emergency Route Restrictions Will Go In Effect at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 Leesburg, VA (March 20, 2018) – Current weather forecasts call for six to twelve inches of snow to fall in Leesburg through Wednesday. In preparation for snow removal operations, Town officials will put Snow Emergency Route restrictions into effect at 9:00 p.m. tonight. When Snow Emergency Route restrictions are in place, all vehicles parked on the street along snow emergency routes (King, Market and Loudoun streets) must be removed. Any vehicles remaining on designated Snow Emergency Routes once snow removal operations begin will be towed at the owners’ expense. The Leesburg Snow Hotline (703-777-SNOW) will be activated beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Residents can call the hotline for information on current snow removal operations and to report snow-related problems. # # #
