CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ron Fitzwater called the October 2, 2023 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at 5:45 P.M. to
review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Councilmembers were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Ahlers, Deeken, Hensley, Lester, Mealy, Schwartz, Spencer, Spicer, Wiseman, and
Wright
Absent: None
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilm ember Ahlers will lead the prayer.
Miscellaneous
- Representatives from Cemetery Resources Board, the Air Show, and the Fire Department
will be presenting their respective updates.
Presentations form Staff, Consultants & Invited Guests
- Dr. John Moseley, Lincoln University President, will provide University updates.
- Clint Smith, Director of Planning & Protective Services will provide a yard waste update.
Consent Agenda
- There were no questions at this time.
Bills Introduced
- City Staff presented their bills to be introduced.
Bills Pending
- City Staff presented their pending bill. Councilmember Ahlers will request bill 2023-045 be
placed on the informal calendar.
Informal Calendar
- Councilmember Hensley intends to leave bill 2023-040 on the informal calendar.
New Business
- Councilmember Deeken will bring up the W. Main Street water tower demolition during New
Business.
