A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE
CREATION OF A SANITARY LANDFILL SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the sanitary landfill is used by and benefits both
Moab City and Grand County Residents; and
WHEREAS, it is felt that a Special Service District will run
the sanitary landfill in a manner beneficial to both Grand County
and Moab City; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of Grand County and Moab
City to fund the landfill operation through a Special Service
District with taxing authority;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Moab City
Council that the City of Moab support the creation of a Sanitary
Landfill Special Service District.
PASSED AND APPROVED in open Council by a majority vote of
the Governing Body of Moab City Council this 18th day of
August , A.D., 1992.
