CITY OF LYNWOOD
REGULAR MEETING OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD
JULY 16. 2009
The regular meeting of the of the Personnel Board of the City of Lynwood was
held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City
Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California. The agenda was duly posted as
prescribed by the Brown Act.
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:01 p.m. by Chairperson Bradley. Roll call
was taken by Alfredo J Lopez, Human Resources Director.
Commissioner Attendance:
Present-Bradley, Robinson, Espinoza, Lopez, Esparza
Absent - None
Staff Attendance:
Present - Alfredo J Lopez
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Led by Commissioner Espinoza.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The motion was made by Vice-Chairperson Robinson and seconded by
Commissioner Lopez to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 18,
2009. Alf in favor. Motion carried.
PUBLIC ORALS -None
STUDIES AND REPORTS
Mr. Lopez distributed a copy of the Eligibility List for the position of Maintenance
Worker. He informed the Board that the City Council approved the Maintenance
Worker position as critical staffing and requested the filling of three vacancies. He
then briefly provided the Board with an overview of the recruitment process and
thanked staff for their dedicated time in accomplishing this recruitment.
The motion was made by Vice-Chairperson Robinson and seconded by
Commissioner Esparza to approve the Eligibility List for the position of Maintenance
Worker. All in favor. Motion carried.

COMMISSIONER & STAFF ORALS
Commissioner Lopez informed the Board that this was her last meeting. Her
escrow finally closed therefore she will be moving to the City of Compton.
Commissioner Esparza inquired about the dates that were tentatively scheduled for
a hearing. Mr. Lopez responded that the appellant withdrew his appeal.
Vice-Chairperson Robinson asked about the Board members training. Mr. Lopez
respohded that the dates will be forthcoming for the training.
Commissioner Espinoza requested to receive the agenda electronically.

ADJOURNMENT
Vice-Chairperson Robinson made the motion to adjourn and Commissioner
Espinoza seconded. All in favor. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 5:38
pm.
