The following resolution was duly offered by Council-
man J. E. Kerby and seconded by Councilman Wayne R. McConkie,
and upon being put to a vote was unanimously adopted:
WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of
Moab, Grand county, Utah, that for the purpose of purchasing a
new truck to be used by said city that the sum of One thousand
five hundred dollars is necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, and it is hereby ordered
by the City Council of the City of Moab, Utah, that for the
purpose of purchasing a new truck to be used by said City that
the City Council of said city borrow for and on behalf of said
City from The First_Natinnal Bank of Moab, at Moab, Utah, the
sum of 11500.00, said sum to be payable on or before JanuarY 1,
1948, and to draw interest at the rate of six per cent per annum

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED by Said City Council that Mayor D.
E. Baldwin, of said City, for and on behalf of said City, exe-
cute and deliver to the said Bank the negotiable promissory note
of said City in and for the sum of One thousand five hundred
dollars, 41500.00), to be dated April 23, 1947, due and pay-
able on or before January 1, 1948, and to bear interest at the
rate of six per cent per annum from date.

I, Mitchell Melich, the duly elected, qualified and
acting Recorder of the City of Moab, Utah, do hereby certify
and declare that the above and foregoing is a full, true and
correct copy of a resolution passed and adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council of said City on April 1, 1947.

1500.00 April 23, 1947
On or before January 1, 1948, the City of Moab, in
Grand county, Utah, for value received, promises to pay to
The First National Bank of Moab, or order the sum of One
thousand, five hundred dollars ($1500.00), at the First
National Bank of I::oab, in Moab, Utah with interest at the
rate of six (6) per cent per annum from date hereof until paid.
Said City further agrees to pay a reasonable attorneys

This note is issued by the City Council of I:ioab, Utah,
in conformity to a resolution of said Council passed and adopted
on the 1st day of .�pril, 1947, and under authority con-

Utah Code Annotated, 1943.
