Nighttime Sidewalk Repair in Downtown Leesburg Begins on
Sunday, April 1, 2018
Work will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will be completed by
Friday morning, April 6, 2018.
Leesburg, VA (March 30, 2018) – Nighttime repair work on the sidewalk on the north side of
West Market Street from King Street to the Lightfoot Restaurant parking lot entrance will begin
on Sunday evening, April 1, 2018. The work will be performed from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
nightly through Friday morning, April 6, 2018.
While work is taking place, pedestrian traffic will be diverted onto the south side of West
Market Street. The sidewalk will reopen each morning by 7:00 a.m. In addition, during the
work hours, no on-street parking will be allowed on the south side of West Market Street in
that area.
The contractor may need to close one lane of West Market Street to accommodate the work. In
the event a lane of traffic is closed, flaggers will control alternating traffic. Drivers should
remain alert when traveling in this area and follow flagger direction.
