Leesburg’s 2017 Water Quality Report Now Available Online
In 2017, Leesburg’s water met or exceeded all EPA standards for
drinking water.
Leesburg, VA (April 3, 2018) – The Leesburg Utilities Department recently released the Town’s
Water Quality Report for 2017. The full report can be viewed on the Town website at
www.leesburgva.gov/waterqualityreport. In 2017, Leesburg met or exceeded all of the
Environmental Protection Agency’s water quality standards.
Since 1999, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has required drinking water
providers to publish annual water quality reports. Leesburg’s report provides customers with
information about the sources, treatment, and testing of their drinking water as well as an
overview of federal drinking water regulations.
“Often, we don’t think about our water, unless we turn on the tap and nothing comes out,”
commented Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk. “This annual report provides detailed information
about the excellent work done by Leesburg’s highly qualified and dedicated staff to ensure that
our drinking water is always pure and safe.”
Customers who have questions about their drinking water quality are encouraged to contact
the Town’s Department of Utilities Water Supply Division at 703-737-7110.
